Welcome to All Saints’ Church of England Primary School

Welcome to All Saints’ Church of England Primary School. I’m very proud to be Headteacher of this school, in the heart of our community. I’ve been at the school since 2010 and lead a highly skilled and passionate staff team who want the best for every child in their care.  Our mantra is that everything has to be the standard we would want for our own children.

Our whole school values, based on the Gospels, are Friendship, Fellowship and Hope.  We are proud of our Christian ethos, and a highly inclusive school with a diverse community.  It is a real blessing to learn from so many different nationalities and cultures, and we incorporate this into our curriculum.  We teach our children that they can get on with anyone else from any background, as we’re all one school family.  We also teach them that they can do anything they want when they grow up, as long as they work hard and try their best.

We know how important your child is to you, and want to reassure you that we want the absolute best for them, academically and personally.  Our children thrive at school; they make friends and discover their talents.  They are happy and safe, and challenged academically. Our parental and pupil questionnaires consistently back this up.  Our most recent Ofsted inspection commented on our compassion; we know that children can’t learn unless their basic needs are met, so wellbeing is as important to us as any other subject.  We are a Rights Respecting School, teaching children about their rights, and the responsibilities that go with them. For example, all children have a right to an education, which means that they have to ensure that their behaviour doesn’t stop other children from learning. Each Rights Respecting team supports a charity.

Confidence in a school comes from knowing and understanding what is happening within it; the partnership between home and school is a very important and powerful one and where this works well children can achieve their full potential in all aspects of their development. Could I also emphasise that it is vital that you share with us any concerns or worries that you may have regarding your child, no matter how small they seem.  You’ll see me by the gate regularly, and you can always get hold of me via the office email address.  Most issues can be sorted out really quickly with a conversation, and happy children are much more likely to flourish in school. There are also regular opportunities for families to come into school for coffee mornings, learning events and parental consultations.
